Archaeological Field Technicians (Field Based)

Join ERM as an Archaeological Field Technician to support survey efforts for energy projects across the United States . This is a project-term, field-based position requiring 100% travel. Responsibilities include :

  • Digging shovel tests and screening soil
  • Visually inspecting land surfaces for artifacts
  • Bagging and recording artifacts and their provenience
  • Maintaining detailed field notes
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate HSE standards
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • Completion of archaeological field school or prior survey experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and terrain
  • Availability to work weekends and over 40 hours / week when needed
  • Knowledge of archaeological survey protocols
  • Capacity for extended fieldwork
  • Meeting criteria outlined in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis
  • B.A. in Anthropology or related field is advantageous
