We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our High Speed Engineering team in Nashua, NH.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of specific elements of High-Speed IO Interconnect and Cable devices or components to meet specified design requirements.
- Perform Mechanical Analyses - Obtain working knowledge of company standard analysis tools. Perform basic static, dynamic and heat transfer analyses of mechanical structures, when required.
- Support Verification / Validation of Design - Support the fabrication and environmental testing of High-Speed IO Interconnect devices.
- Prepare Documentation - Generate and review the technical content of drawings, engineering specifications, reports and other documentation associated with the mechanical design.
- Support Continuous Improvement - Conduct failure analysis of product returned from field and qualification failures.
- Lead sustainment efforts on assigned product lines - Provide Mechanical Engineering support to products in production.
Qualifications
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)3-5 years of electromechanical product design / support experienceStrong Mechanical AptitudeFamiliarity with Structural and Thermal FEA software and capability.Grasp of basic electrical theory.Ability to support design and development of hardware to ensure requirements complianceAbility to read mechanical drawings and perform tolerance assessments.Ability to perform basic mechanical analysis to ensure good design.Proficiency with Solidworks 2018 or higherAbility to conduct experimentation and basic testing.Good communication skills and organizational skillsAmphenol Corporation is proud of our reputation as an excellent employer.
