Responsibilities Position is in a hospital LDRP setting with 11 labor rooms, 2 ORs, and 3 OB ED triage rooms Patient population includes deliveries (vaginal and c-section), versions, and cerclages Average volume of 200 deliveries per month Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 1 during active labor and 1 : 3 for antepartum Equipment includes warmer, GE monitor, pulse oximeter, and blood glucose meters Floating within Women's Health is likely 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and major holiday required On-call required for 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks Scrub experience preferred and circulating experience required Care for patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and women's health emergencies Collaborate with a team of 3 RNs and one tech per most shifts Participation in quality improvement and patient advocacy initiatives expected Must cover major holidays as part of the rotating schedule First-time travelers will be interviewed through an ITO process Dress code requires appropriate scrubs for the unit Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity Labor & Delivery experience required Current BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred Fetal monitoring experience required Circulating experience required and scrub experience preferred Experience with cardiac and fetal monitoring equipment required No candidates living within a 50-mile radius will be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619825.
