Speech / Language PathologistCoastal Kids Occupational Therapy, PLLC is looking for an experienced Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our close-knit team of Occupational, Physical Therapists and Feeding Therapists. The position is for a part time to full time per independent contractor SLP. You will have the flexibility to make your own schedule! Come see the difference at Coastal Kids. The candidate must possess the following requirements :
- Must LOVE working with children!
- Master's Degree in Speech / Language Pathology
- State of Maine SLP License
- Minimum of (1) year of Pediatric Speech Language Pathology experience.
- Ability to work closely with our team

- Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification
- Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)
- Carry own liability insurance
- Oral Motor Certification a plus
- Feeding Therapy certification a plus

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for :
- Providing Speech Therapy services to pediatric clients, this includes 1-1, co treats and social skills groups / groups as needed. Oral Motor, Feeding and Prompt Certifications a plus but willing to train.
- Assesses clients' communication skills (e.g. articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, oral motor skills and musculature etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment.
- Collaborates with a variety of groups and / or individuals (e.g. parents, teachers, physicians, administration, team members, other professionals, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines.
- Coordinates meetings and processes for clients (e.g. testing / screening, IEPs, parent conferences or the purpose of presenting evaluation results and / or providing training to parents / staff.
- Develops treatment plans, interventions and / or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders.
- Consults as needed for parent trainings, providing information on communicative disorders, use of assistive devices and feeding techniques and / or implementing prescribed treatment plans.
- Interprets medical reports within the scope of Speech / Language Pathologist's experience and goals for the purpose of providing information and / or ensuring that treatment / intervention plans are appropriate.
- Maintains files and / or records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and / or compliance.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and / or gathering information.
