Job Summary
The Well-being Officer for Care Teams is a newly established position at Denver Health aimed at guiding the organization towards a future where caregiver well-being is acknowledged, and both individual and systemic contributors to well-being are effectively addressed. This pivotal role is core to our journey of becoming the most trusted health care provider in Colorado and key to meeting goals outlined in our strategic plan. This position addresses the complex, interdependent factors impacting well-being among patient care teams and the efforts required to formulate solutions and interventions that take into account the broader context and underlying issues.
Emphasizing self-care and resilience, the role will play a central role in defining strategic priorities to advance well-being and reduce burnout among team members in our patient care environments, through a blended focus on individuals, teams, processes, and technology. In concert with senior leaders at Denver Health, the role will support operational excellence and enhanced communication, psychological safety, transparency, and trust by focusing on long-term sustainability and effective interventions to combat compassion fatigue, burnout, and occupational distress.
