Star Ride Kids Inc. is hiring : GIRLS DESIGNER in New York

Summary

We are looking for an experienced designer to join our girl’s design team. This is a hands‑on position. The candidate must be proficient in designing sportswear for girls 4‑16 and can create their own artwork.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with the Head Designer, Sales, Technical, and Production Departments to develop fashion products appropriate for the mass market.

Create and update line sheets and tech packs.

Daily comment on sample submissions including garments, artwork, lab dip and trims.

Research fashion trends and adapt for the mass market.

Manage product development from design concept to pre‑production sample approval.

Communicate pertinent information to all stakeholders.

Create the production artwork and tech packs.

Requirements

Degree in Fashion Design.

Minimum of 5 years of design experience in the girl’s fashion sportswear market.

Proficient knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, and Outlook running on Apple Mac computers.

Broad experience working with different types of fabrics including knits, wovens, denim and sweaters.

Experience designing a variety of products including tops, bottoms, dresses, sets, rompers, etc.

Strong understanding of garment construction, sewing and printing techniques.

Understanding of the production process and lead‑times.

Must be able to work in an environment of rapid and constant changes.

Must be organized and have the ability and drive to multi‑task in a fast paced, demanding environment.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.

Salary and Location

Salary : $70 K–90 K depending on qualifications and experience.

Location : New York, NY – full‑time on‑site.
