Salary Range : $57,000 – $66,500 / year (DOE)

Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented and trend-savvy Associate Designer with a strong background in Juniors sweaters. The ideal candidate is passionate about knitwear, understands the junior customer, and thrives in a team environment where innovation, speed, and collaboration are key.
You’ll work closely with the Senior Designer to conceptualize, design, and develop seasonal sweater collections for major retailers, aligning with pricing, aesthetic, and brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Research market trends, yarn innovations, and silhouettes to inform seasonal concepts
- Support the Sr. Designer in developing collections for private label and licensed brands
- Prepare inspiration boards, trend reports, and seasonal color palettes
- Create detailed flat sketches (Adobe Illustrator or hand-drawn) and tech packs
- Collaborating with the CAD team on artworks, layouts, and sketch presentations
- Participating in customer market appointments and occasional travel
- Coordinate directly with overseas factories throughout development
- Source yarns and trims, manage swatches, and attend relevant trade shows (e.g., Spinexpo)
- Attend fit sessions, review counter samples, and ensure design integrity is maintained
- Manage sample tracking and ensure timely follow-up with factories
- Support cross-functional communication between design, production, technical, and merchandising teams
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion DesignMinimum 5 years of design experience focused on sweatersStrong knowledge of sweater construction, stitches, yarns, gauges, and costingProven ability to interpret trends for the Juniors marketPrivate label experience and familiarity with major U.S. retailersExcellent sketching ability (Illustrator and / or hand)Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational and time management skillsDetail-oriented, creative, and able to work independently or in a fast-paced team environmentWhy Join Us?
