Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrols Part-Time

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrols Part-Time in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a sense of security, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate : $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Wed 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Thur 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Sat 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and / or observations during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as required.
  • Assist with crowd management and help to deter disruptive behavior in and around the location as necessary.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and adapt patrol routes and activities as needed to address security-related priorities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
