Overview
Director, Media Planning (Traditional and Digital) at Rise, a Quad Agency. Rise is an award-winning, full-service Media Agency of Record backed by data and powered by people. We create omnichannel experiences using our proprietary tech stack and advanced analytics capabilities to help solve the unique struggles brands face today. This role supports omnichannel media, commerce and retail media, advanced in-home media, as well as content and creator marketing. Location
Chicago or New York, 4 days in office.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand client challenges to craft a custom marketing program (audiences, markets, competitive spend trends, consumer insights and trends, etc.).
- Lead media strategy for new business development and collaborate with Quad stakeholders as part of the new business process.
- Lead conversations, internally and with clients, to establish benchmarks and determine success.
- Oversee media strategy, campaign creation, budget, optimization, and testing strategy for full-funnel, multi-platform campaigns across paid channels including television, radio, print, out-of-home, digital, social, and mobile media.
- Identify relevant media and data partners to test in plans on a client-by-client basis.
- Identify opportunities to innovate with agency partners to evolve media strategy for clients and the agency.
- Review advanced analytics reports to guide media plan optimizations; leverage insights and modeling to determine the right channel mix.
- Stay current with new advances in media, competitive landscape, and vendor capabilities to influence current and future plans.
- Develop POV on new media products and vendor capabilities; provide direction for QBRs and lead when possible.
- Nurture and lead a team of managers and planners; lead client calls as needed.
- Collaborate with media activation on case study structure and development; advise on measurement framework and approach.
- Motivate, lead and train team members; marshal resources to ensure timely work; develop operational best practices across the department.
- Support new client onboarding efforts as directed by leadership.
Education
Bachelor's degreeExperience
7-10+ years of experience in agency environments and / or channel partnerships3+ years in a management or supervisory roleStrong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors and internal teamsAbility to recruit / retain top talent and manage personnel issuesProven quantitative and analytic capabilities; ability to translate data into insightsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong judgment and prioritization capabilitiesAbility to implement change quickly in evolving client initiatives or market conditionsWorking knowledge of third-party media research (e.g., Nielsen, MRI, Scarborough, MediaRadar, DoubleClick, YouGov)Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $120,000 - $155,650, based on knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions.
