The Tecumseh State Correctional Institution is looking for an Office Technician in our Records department who possesses exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Hiring rate $15.000 - $22.112 / hour plus $3.00 / hour facility differential for hours worked. Pay rate may be commensurate with education and / or experience within fiscal constraints, if approved.

Duties :

This position will assist in maintaining inmate physical and electronic documentation and filing. Will assist in the mailroom and help facilitate video court visitation which will include some inmate contact.

Requirements / Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications : Coursework / training in administrative / office support functions, procedures, experience in public contact, customer service, and / or performing and applying office / clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications : Experience in Microsoft Office, database systems, operation of basic office equipment, and mail processing practices / procedures.

Other : Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order : medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
