Opportunity Overview

Teradyne\'s Supply Base Management (SBM) group is hiring for a supply line engineer to support the new product innovation team focused on silicon photonics and other advanced technologies supporting test and measurement products. In this role you will help enable design through the development of a global supply base capable of manufacturing our products while adhering to strict quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

• Influence product design and specifications early in the design cycle to minimize cost while maximizing supply chain flexibility and long term quality.
• Be responsible for establishing a supply base that can support the technology needed to enable new designs while balancing the operation needs of the company.
• Manage supply chain risk and develop mitigation strategies to enable innovation in design while minimizing impacts to Teradyne operations.
• Conduct the assessments of suppliers including evaluation of reliability, design validity, process capability and capacity.
• Work with suppliers to execute part-qualification processes aligned with the complexity of various parts.
• Work with global Supplier Quality Engineers, manage ongoing component quality and reliability issues with the supply base. Utilize continuous improvement tools, communicate expectations, identify and communicate gaps, and drive corrective action. May issue corrective action notices and develop alternative sources as needed.
• Manage supplier\'s tooling and test process development to ensure the supplier has the capacity, flexibility and quality gates in place to allow for uninterrupted supply in high volume manufacturing.
• Drive root cause and corrective action on supplier caused defects.
