Director Of Admissions
The Director of Admissions is responsible for overseeing and managing the College's admissions operations and processes to ensure efficient, student-centered services from application through enrollment. This position works in close collaboration with the Director of Advising and Enrollment and other departments to support institutional enrollment goals, ensure compliance with admissions policies, and provide leadership for application processing, communication tools, and system optimization. This is a full-time salaried FLSA exempt position covered by the Public School Retirement System (PSRS) of Missouri.

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with an academic background in programming and substantial experience in higher education or student support services may also be considered. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, enrollment services, or student support services is required. Experience managing or supporting communication platforms (e.g. J1 Communications+, Slate, TargetX) is preferred. Proficiency with student information systems (experience with Jenzabar preferred), strong programming or technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners are essential. Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in identifying and addressing fraudulent activity or data discrepancies are also required.
Job Responsibilities
The Director of Admissions shall perform the following essential tasks / responsibilities :
- Manage admission operations in Jenzabar One and JICS, identify best practices for using the software to support the school's recruitment and admission efforts and train College staff on the effective use of Jenzabar One and JICS.
- Provide technical leadership for the College as a Module Manager of Admissions in Jenzabar One; generate departmental reports through InfoMaker; participate in the evaluation and implementation of a variety of third-party software packages that connect to and / or integrate with Jenzabar One.
- Collect, evaluate, and make data-informed recommendations and revisions to admissions policies and procedures based on institutional goals.
- Responsible for term table management in Jenzabar One (assign newly created and returning students to term tables and assign student web groups).
- Investigate suspicious or potentially fraudulent applications and escalate concerns as needed.
- Serve as the lead administrator for the Communications+ platform, managing communication flows, data sets, and automations.
- Develop and maintain automated communication plans and workflows that guide students through the admissions process and enhance engagement with prospective students.
- Collaborate with Student Affairs, Advising and Marketing to design and evaluate traditional and digital marketing and social media outreach to expand the presence of the MACC to prospective students and ensure the school's website accurately reflects admission requirements and processes to ensure students can successfully apply to their desired program(s).
- Partner with Advising to facilitate the efficient and timely process to move newly accepted and returning students through the registration process.
- Work with Business Office & Financial Aid to provide accurate student record information to support cross-departmental processes.
- Establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with a diverse group of leaders across the College and with peers at other institutions.
- Participate in professional development appropriate to the functions of the position and professional interests. Promote and engage staff in relevant professional development activities.
- Develop, evaluate, interpret, and enforce College and departmental procedures and strategies relative to the College's academic mission.
- Serve on various College committees and advisory groups.
Related tasks / responsibilities :
Assist with transfer credit and prior learning documentation.Support orientation and registration events for new students.Work closely with student organizations to provide data needed for incoming students.Provide assistance to Institutional Reporting & Compliance to complete IPEDS reporting.
