Automation Spare Parts Administrator - First Shift
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automation Spare Parts Administrator / Coordinator to manage and coordinate spare parts inventory for automated equipment and systems. This role ensures that critical spare parts are available, properly cataloged, and sourced efficiently to support continuous operations with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all automation-related spare parts using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to maintain optimal inventory without overstocking.
- Source, order, and expedite automation spare parts from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Create and maintain part numbers, descriptions, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and technical documentation in line with engineering standards.
- Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams to identify critical spare parts for new and existing equipment.
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Identify obsolete, excess, or underused inventory and recommend actions (e.g., disposal, redeployment).
- Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for warranty replacements, technical specifications, and lead times.
- Support maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns by ensuring quick identification and retrieval of required parts.
- Assist in the development and improvement of spare parts management procedures and inventory control strategies.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training preferred.2+ years of experience in spare parts, inventory control, or supply chain management, preferably in an industrial automation or manufacturing environment.Proficiency in inventory software, CMMS, or ERP systems.Strong organizational and time management skills.Basic understanding of automation systems (PLC, robotics, conveyors, sensors, etc.) is a plus.Ability to interpret technical drawings, part specifications, and OEM manuals.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, or related field.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and spare parts optimization.Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.Experience with maintenance or engineering support teams in an industrial automation setting.Seniority level
