Unleash your potential in the construction industry as a Permanent Motor Grader / Blade Operator. As a Motor Grader / Blade Operator, you will be instrumental in constructing, maintaining, and repairing roads, highways, and other surfaces requiring a smooth and level finish. Responsibilities
As a Motor Grader / Blade Operator, your primary responsibilities will include :
1. Operating heavy motor grader equipment to spread, level, or smooth gravel or dirt to grade specifications in construction and maintenance of earthwork structures such as highways, streets, airports, dikes, and temporary roads.
2. Inspecting equipment daily to ensure it is in good working order and performing routine maintenance such as lubricating, oiling, and cleaning.
3. Checking the cut, fill, and grade of dirt and other materials with a hand level.
4. Observing distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow, and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
5. Coordinating machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals.
6. Ensuring safety guidelines are followed at all times and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Qualifications
We are seeking a Motor Grader / Blade Operator who meets the following qualifications :
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience operating a motor grader in a heavy construction environment.
2. Knowledge of operating characteristics and limitations of the equipment, as well as the proper methods of road construction and maintenance.
3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
5. Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance provider / program.
6. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and extended hours as necessary.
7. Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
