MBA Investment Banking Associate - 2026

The Investment Banking Development Program is seeking to hire a MBA full-time Associate to join KippsDeSanto & Co. ("KDC"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital One, to support its mergers and acquisitions ("M&A") advisory practice within the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Technology sectors. KDC is focused on providing comprehensive transaction advisory services primarily M&A, private financing, and strategic advisory to middle market defense and technology companies.

Our Associates perform critical functions throughout the entire transaction process, from helping to prepare clients for market, engaging with potential buyers, and facilitating due diligence to ultimately closing the deal. The position offers substantial opportunities to gain financial and technical expertise, professional development, and upward mobility, while taking on a substantial amount of responsibility in transaction execution, client management, and new business development.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Preparing, analyzing, and explaining historical and projected financial information
• Managing and assisting in the preparation of financial models and business valuations
• Conducting industry and company-specific business due diligence
• Creating client marketing presentations, memoranda, and deliverables
• Attending client meetings
• Drafting and collaborating on pitch presentations
• Developing an understanding of the underlying trends that affect the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Technology industries
• Coordinating and managing the creation of industry research publications
• Assisting in the development and continued cultivation of client, prospective client, and professional advisor relationships
• Assisting in the management and mentoring of Analyst team members

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA : $175,000 - $175,000 for MBA Investment Banking Full-Time Associate

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
