Job Title : Service Technician
Location : Illinois
Employment Type : Full-time, On-site
As a service technician you will travel to location serviced by Elite Gaming LLC and service video gaming terminals as well as redemption terminals.
Requirements :
21 years or olderHigh School diploma or GED equivalentValid drivers licenseTerminal handlers license or willingness to submit an application for one(please note there is an extensive background check to receive a license) which we will assist in.Pay range varies based on experience and qualifications
A Route Gaming Slot Machine Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth operation of slot machines and other gaming devices across multiple locations. Their duties often include :
Maintenance and Repairs :Troubleshooting and fixing technical issues in slot machines.
Performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.Replacing or repairing defective parts, such as circuit boards, displays, or mechanical components.Installation and Configuration :Installing new slot machines and ensuring they are set up according to gaming regulations.
Configuring and updating software or firmware on machines.Calibrating machines for accurate payouts and gameplay.Compliance with Gaming Regulations :Ensuring all slot machines meet local and state gaming regulations.
Recording and reporting machine repairs and maintenance as required by gaming authorities.Security and Safety :Ensuring slot machines are secure from tampering or fraud.
Verifying that machines are locked and properly secured after maintenance or service.Handling sensitive materials, such as chips and keys, in a secure manner.Customer Service :Assisting venue staff and patrons with technical issues related to slot machines.
Answering questions and explaining how the machines work when needed.Providing support during peak times to minimize downtime.Inventory and Parts Management :Keeping an inventory of parts and supplies needed for slot machine repair and maintenance.
Ordering new parts and tools as necessary to prevent delays in repairs.Documentation :Keeping accurate records of machine installations, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
Documenting any incidents or technical issues for future reference and regulatory audits.Travel Between Locations :Frequently traveling to various venues on the route to service and maintain machines.
Managing a schedule to ensure all assigned locations receive regular attention.Team Collaboration :Working with other technicians, management, and venue staff to resolve issues.
Participating in team meetings and providing updates on the status of machines.Emergency Support :Responding to emergency service requests for machine breakdowns or major technical problems.
Being on call to handle urgent repairs, especially during casino peak hours.These responsibilities require a combination of technical skills, regulatory knowledge, and customer service abilities.
