Base salary range : $118,300 – $207,100 per year.

Overview

Jacobs is seeking a Resident Engineer to supervise the construction of roadway and infrastructure improvements in Seattle, WA. The role requires extensive interface management with stakeholders and contractors, leading a team of inspectors and office engineers, and ensuring safe, high-quality construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction process to ensure that the project is safely and accurately implemented on site, adhering to contract and permitting requirements.
• Lead a team monitoring construction progress, advising steps to keep project goals achieved.
• Manage and direct a team of support staff and site inspectors for the supervision of the project.
• Report progress, safety, financial projections, quality control, and changes in the contract work.
• Develop a trusted relationship with the project team, contractor, and client's staff.
• Place an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and maintaining a high quality of construction.
• Interface and work daily with the client's team, project stakeholders, and contractor.
