job_description.job_card.job_descriptionHold a degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture Possess certification(s) such as : ACI Concrete Special Inspector ICC Masonry Special Inspector ICC Structural Steel Special Inspector Have 5+ years of experience with special inspections, preferably on threshold buildings Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record U.S. work authorization (Visa sponsorship is not available) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Physically able to lift 75 lbs. unaided (100 lbs. with assistance) and perform fieldwork duties Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Compensation is hourly, with overtime paid at 1.5x your regular rate. Your work hours are calculated from the time you arrive at the office in the morning to when you leave in the evening, excluding your lunch break. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between the office and job sites, based on the current IRS rate (currently $0.67 per mile). Are you a skilled technician with a sharp eye for detail and a strong background in special inspections? Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA's) Orlando office is looking for a full-time Senior Engineering Technician to support critical construction projects across the region. If you're passionate about ensuring quality and safety on high-impact builds, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing : As a Senior Engineering Technician, you'll be on the front lines of construction oversight, ensuring projects meet all codes, standards, and client expectations. Responsibilities include :
- Conducting special inspections on threshold buildings
- Verifying that construction complies with approved plans and specs
- Performing field inspections, testing, and sampling
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, and GTA project managers
- Keeping detailed field reports and assisting in technical documentation
Ideal Candidate ProfileYou bring a strong foundation in construction inspections and meet at least one of the following :
