Field Service Technician – Louisville, Kentucky

Who are we? Kawasaki Robotics (USA), Inc. (KRI) is a leading supplier of industrial robots and automation systems and we are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our field service team.
The variety of important work will include the installation, start-up, programming, technical support, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment and emergency service of Kawasaki robots and robot / automation systems.
Product specific training will be provided and future wage increases are directly related to the development and increase of specific skills and knowledge.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Participate in the daily activities of the field service department as required for Kawasaki robots and robot systems.
- Field service includes the installation, start-up, programming, technical support, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment and emergency service of Kawasaki robots and robot systems.
- Ensure that equipment is installed, programmed and commissioned safely, reliably, on schedule and within budget.
- Interface with design engineering, application engineering, training and documentation, administration, customers, engineering, operators & skilled trades.
- Perform Emergency service, 24 hour "hot line" support and troubleshooting (on a rotation basis) including technical improvements to systems, adjustments and maintenance procedures on robots minimize customer service calls, reduced customers complaints by augmenting customer satisfaction.
- Perform informal training of engineers, skilled trades and operators in electrical and mechanical applications, operations and maintenance, troubleshooting and repair at customer’s site.
- Perform scheduled maintenance or rebuild at customers request.
- Must be able to travel frequently (70-80%); the vast majority of work is performed on-site at customer facilities.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of an Associates' degree in a related technical discipline.OR
A minimum of 5 years directly related job experience.Proven ability in automation equipment service and support.Exposure and / or experience with industrial robots and robotic system would be preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Well-developed customer interface skills and experience.Well spoken, easily understood and fluent in business email communication.Must have ability to work extended overtime as needed and travel locally and to other states.Willing to take your turn on the 24 hours hot-line rotation emergency service to customers.Must have proficient operating knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Must be physically fit and be able to lift, stand and carry standard tools, robot parts and work in robot cells for prolonged periods.Must possess plenty of common sense, a high standard of integrity and honestyNO VISA SUPPORT AVAILABLE
