Temporary Automotive Test Technician
The Automobile Test Technician will
be responsible for
Management of the instrumentation
required
to collect data on vehicles, sub
systems
and components
Ensuring the highest quality data is recorded and processed to efficiently analyze data needed for all projects
Reviewing test plans with engineers; understand what equipment is needed to
acquire
the data under the specified load cases
Know what data acquisition system to use, which transducers, and where to place them on the vehicle or sub-system
Use hands-on experience with data acquisition and data processing software
Will
be responsible for
instrumentation and calibration of transducers and data acquisition system for the given application
The Automotive Test Technician should be self-sufficient to prepare the test setup, conduct testing, and
acquire
the data with or without the engineer.
The Automotive Test Technician will save the data, process
it, and
analyze it, and create reports.
Basic Qualifications
Familiarity with instrumentation, data acquisition, vehicle testing
Basic computer skills (MS Office)
Must have a valid driver's license (with no more than 2 points)
Good communication
skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of an A.A.S. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar discipline
Familiarity with digital signal processing, experience setting up and conducting tests,
Experience in performing data acquisition and data processing using Siemens Test Lab, Head Acoustics' Artemis, or similar software
Experience with NVH instrumentation (
e.g.
accelerometers, force transducers, tachometers, and microphones)
Experience in Data Analysis and Reporting
