Work Arrangement

This role is hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Michigan three times per week. This may change in the future.

Job Description

The role entails throughput analysis and simulation of material delivery systems and vehicles for current and new Vehicle programs throughout all phases of the Global Vehicle Development Process. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering centers to design and optimize current and future manufacturing systems and support plants in throughput improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement simulation deliverables for assigned new / major vehicle programs.
• Run analyses and experiments, interpret results, and generate standard reports, including results and potential improvements.
• Respond to material flow simulation pulls from assigned manufacturing facilities.
• Support ME optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Extract necessary inputs from Manufacturing Planning & Engineering documents.
• Coordinate with MSIE, GA, Conveyor, IE and Material organizations.
• Utilize and contribute to the improvement of standardized work and lessons learned.
• Deliver results to customers.
• Interface with Execution and Process Leads to support total plant throughput strategy.
• Interface with Execution and Process teams to validate and update data sets.
• Support development and refinement of station level data.
• Occasional travel (5-10%).
