Research Coordinator

Functioning under the direction of the site principal investigator and co-investigator, the research coordinator will participate in data collection and review for a multi-site study designed to evaluate the impact of an intervention to improve communication between medical teams and hospitalized patients / families who speak languages other than English. The study coordinator will primarily assist in ensuring all key personnel (nursing, interpreter when indicated) are present on rounds. This is a 20 hour per week in-person position (4 hr per day, 5 days per week) during the 4-month data collection period (Nov 2025-March 2026). This is also an opportunity for an individual who might be interested in the medical field to learn more about daily operations in the hospital.

Position Responsibilities

Implement study protocols, including arriving prior to the start of rounds (7am or 8am) to plan for the day and meet with physician team members;

Perform data collection and quality control of study data;

Assist current research assistant as time allows;

Oversee the process by which participants are enrolled and recruited into the study;

Develop and implement methods to track and follow-up with study participants;

Complete rounds summary forms;

Implement quality control procedures;

Possibly assist in the preparation of grants for future studies;

Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working as part of a geographically disbursed team.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Excel.

Salary Range

USD $30.00 / hr.
