Project Estimator (Clearwater)

The Estimator will be responsible for bidding large commercial / industrial perimeter security projects around the state of Florida. This role will also be assigned local leads provided by SFC.For local leads, the estimator will schedule appointments to meet with the customer, review the scope of work while taking field measurements, and price the scope of work accordingly. The Estimator will be responsible for following up on all opportunities and closing the deal. All opportunities will be recorded in a personal log, which will be managed and tracked by the individual.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Review and quote a high volume of ITBs (invitation to bid)
• Contact customers to go through any applicable questions regarding the project needs.
• Prepare estimates for customers.
• Maintain contact and follow up with customers to close on quoted opportunities.
• Review new installations with Field Operations Team.
• Call in underground locates if applicable.
• Continually update project information as needed.
• Actively contribute to the team.

Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a construction environment. Some safety protective equipment will be required if / when performing duties out on the field.
