Children's Minister Searchlights Church

Overview

Position Description : Searchlights Church in Cheyenne, WY is just over 1 year old and growing. We are looking to hire a Children's Minister who has experience running a healthy Children's Ministry or overseeing Children's Ministry. This role would be part time in Children's Ministry (due to being a portable church right now) and would include other responsibilities such as administrative help, volunteer oversight, preaching (if qualified), depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. This is a role to grow into and lean on the strengths of the person, not to burn them out. We are a church building a culture from scratch and want to continue trying new things in a fulfilling environment with low turnover.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Children's Ministry, leveraging an established foundation built by volunteers.
• Provide administrative support related to the ministry.
• Oversee volunteers and coordinate ministry staffing.
• Preach as part of the role if qualified and applicable.
• Collaborate with church leadership to grow a healthy, sustainable program.
