Job Summary Staff Pharmacists at Medvantx must possess a high level of responsibility and knowledge, provide leadership, and set a professional example for the entirety of the organization. The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that each prescription is filled accurately and in a timely manner and provide meaningful and applicable pharmacological and regulatory information to internal and external customers. Work-Life balance in a Closed-Door Pharmacy Environment :
- Standard Monday-Friday shifts between 8 : 00 am and 9 : 00 pm | No Weekend Duties | Observance of Major Holidays Key Responsibilities Ensure Medvantx processes and procedures adhere to all state and federal regulations Maintain HIPAA regulations and ensure Medvantx remains compliant in all aspects of PHI. Interpret and evaluate drug orders utilizing informed and autonomous determinations. Provide professional guidance, judgement, and oversight for Pharmacy Technicians, Support, Customer Service, and any other employees engaged in the chain of processing a prescription order. Conduct prescription verification for accuracy at the order entry and dispensing levels for all prescriptions processed by Medvantx. Identification and resolution of potential or actual quality concerns in all aspects of prescription processing. Sharing of best practices for workflow and quality enhancement. Conduct DUR in accordance with systematic edits and professional decision-making. Ensure proper distribution, labeling, and storage of drugs. Safeguard and promote regulatory adherence for essential and required documentation and record keeping as related to prescription services and processing. Accept additional responsibilities or projects as assigned by your direct supervisor. Critical Skills Current pharmacist licensure in home state with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy required. Licensure in other states desirable and may be required as business needs arise Broad knowledge of company policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; with demonstrated ability collaborate with individuals representing diverse interests to accomplish goals. In depth knowledge of regulatory and patient safety standards as related to the practice of pharmacy.
