Pediatric Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant UVA Primary Care, Locust Grove, VA

Part-Time 20 hrs / week Day Shift

Join UVA Health s Pediatric Primary Care team in Locust Grove, VA. We re looking for a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant to deliver exceptional care to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting.

What You ll Do

Provide well-child exams, sick visits, and developmental screenings

Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and conditions

Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics

Prescribe medications and therapies per Virginia prescriptive authority

Offer parent / caregiver education on wellness, nutrition, and disease management

Coordinate referrals to pediatric specialists as needed

Maintain accurate EHR documentation and coding

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited Pediatric NP program or PA program (Master s required)

Licensed or license-eligible in Virginia

Current BLS (PALS required; NRP as applicable)

Meets UVA Health credentialing and certification standards

Physical Demands

Ability to stand for long periods and lift / push / pull lbs

May be exposed to blood / body fluids and infectious diseases

Location : UVA Primary Care Locust Grove, VA

Schedule : Part-Time, 20 hrs / week, 1st Shift
