Your Mission : From Pre-Construction to Closeout
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of mechanical construction projects—ensuring they're delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. You'll lead cross-functional teams, manage financials, and maintain strong client relationships while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-construction planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Review and approve budgets for labor, materials, and subcontractors.
- Negotiate and draft subcontractor agreements aligned with project goals.
- Manage project financials, including profitability, cash flow, and cost tracking.
- Resolve design conflicts across trades in collaboration with engineers and architects.
- Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and strategic planning.
- Implement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections.
- Recommend construction methods, timelines, and value engineering solutions.
- Approve supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Coordinate logistics, procurement, and scheduling of materials and equipment.
- Supervise Project Engineers and Assistant Managers.
- Maintain and grow client relationships while identifying future opportunities.
- Provide direct oversight of subcontractors and indirect coordination with field teams.
- Manage CAD, fabrication, and field labor resources.
- Enforce site safety and cleanliness protocols.
What You Bring
Excellent communication and leadership skills.Strong organizational and document management abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Office Suite.Deep understanding of mechanical systems and construction project management.Experience with AutoBid, P6 Scheduler, and Bluebeam (preferred).Ability to train estimating staff and coordinate with field teams.Skilled in vendor procurement and SWOT analysis preparation.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field—or 10+ years of relevant experience.Minimum 5 years managing construction projects up to $15 M in scope.Life Science / Pharma project experience required.Field experience early in career preferred for hands-on quality oversight.Work Environment
Based out of our Apex, NC office, with regular travel to job sites across North Carolina.On-site presence required for direct supervision and quality assurance.Job Type

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.89 – $95.00 / hr.
