The holiday season is our busiest time of year, and our engraving department plays a critical role in producing premium, personalized products that make meaningful gifts. Job Overview
The Seasonal Engraving Operator is responsible for running engraving equipment, preparing files, inspecting products, and assisting with packaging. Training may begin with reduced hours until production ramps up.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate galvo- and gantry-based fiber, CO₂, and UV lasers to engrave text, logos, and custom artwork.
- Prepare order files and set designs in engraving software for production.
- Match products to personalization details and verify engraving accuracy.
- Inspect engraved products for precision, quality, and consistency.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment or software issues during production.
- Assist with finishing tasks such as cleaning, packaging, and staging products for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Work as part of a collaborative production team. While assigned primarily to engraving, all employees may assist in other departments as needed to meet seasonal demand.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience operating laser engraving equipment preferred but not required (training provided).Familiarity with LightBurn or other engraving software a plus.Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for alignment and finishing.Comfortable using computers and software for production workflows.Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented.Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.Prior engraving, manufacturing, or production experience is a plus.Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds occasionally (materials, trays, jigs).Strong visual acuity and manual precision for engraving and inspection work.Seasonal Schedules
Employment runs early–mid October through mid-December (exact dates depend on production volume).Training schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 am – 4 : 00 pmTraining schedules may begin with reduced hours until the season fully ramps up.
Our production schedule is scaled with holiday demand. Your preference for day and night shifts is used when assigning shifts as the season progresses.Shift options we use during the season :
