Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician

Who We’re Looking For

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Atlanta, GA . If you're an initiative-taking problem solver with strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills, we want to hear from you!

This is a 2nd shift position with starting wage of $25.00 per hour, with adjustments based on individual skills and experience plus $1.00 shift differential. This is a 12 hour shift, 6 : 00 pm - 6 : 00 am working a 2 : 2 : 3 rotation (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days) .

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and general maintenance tasks across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment, following established safety and operational procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Work with variable speed AC / DC drives, servo motion controls, encoders, and PLC-controlled equipment .
• Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement long-term solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities using the plant’s system.
• Continuously improve machine reliability and maintenance procedures .
• Follow OSHA and Hood Container safety standards , including energy isolation protocols.
• Work with vision and robotic systems (a plus).
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
