Job Description :
Ryan Companies is looking for an organized, innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking Designer II who aims for the highest standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will be able to problem solve and design both as part of a collaborative team and independently. Candidates with approximately 4 or more years of experience are most likely to succeed; however, those with unique career experiences or clear potential for the role will be considered.
Ryan Companies employs a unique integrated delivery process involving architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management, and capital markets. This process requires individuals to work proactively and positively with local teams and across regions within a national design practice.
Some responsibilities include :
- Collaborate with clients, project architects, design project managers, designers, development, construction, and consultants to develop documentation for coordination and construction.
- Solve problems and apply basic design principles.
- Perform tasks collaboratively and set an example for others.
- Contribute to Ryan's culture through participation in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
- Establish and pursue annual goals aligned with personal, professional, and company growth.
- Mentor junior staff.
- Manage Ryan's yearly review and goal-setting process based on personal and professional development goals.
Project Delivery :
Create complete and thorough design documents to meet project goals, milestones, and schedules.Detail efforts to produce comprehensive construction documents.Resolve complex technical issues in partnership with the team.Lead design meetings, consultant meetings, and project team meetings.Research and resolve code issues and regulatory approval processes.Participate in QA / QC processes and project specifications for specific scopes of work.Identify and communicate deviations in project scope and collaborate on resolutions.Job Requirements :
Professional Architecture degree; Bachelor or Master of Architecture or equivalent technical / professional experience.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.Proficiency in Revit, BIM tools, Building Codes, Documentation, and Constructability.Bluebeam knowledge is desired.Preferred Qualifications :
LEED AP and / or WELL AP certifications.Experience with Design Build and large-scale industrial projects.Eligibility :
