Work Schedule :
One (1) - 19 hour per week position. Must be willing to work evenings and weekendsEssential Duties :
Provides professional front-line library public service work using all types of communication resources, including print, non-print (DVDs, audiobooks), Internet and electronic resourcesDelivers one-to-one technology instruction and small group technology instruction including supporting patrons in using mobile devices and public computers.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and library customersProvides reader's advisory assistanceUses authoritative resources to answer questions and make referralsAssists full-time Librarians with collection maintenance and programming support.Provides exceptional customer service in person, on phone and by emailInterpreting, explaining and upholding library policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications :
Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor's degree required. or Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited library school preferred. At least one year of experience in a library or related setting providing customer service to adults; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
