Litigation Paralegal – Family Law Firm

Location : Newton, MA (Onsite – 5 days / week)

Pay : $40 / hour (based on experience) | 40 hours / week

Type : Contract-to-Hire

We are currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join a well-respected boutique law firm in Newton, MA. This firm specializes in family law, trusts, wills, and estates, and the paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys throughout all stages of family law litigation. The ideal candidate will bring excellent organizational skills, strong legal writing ability, and a high level of professionalism in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide litigation support in family law matters, including divorce, custody, marital agreements, and property division.
• Act as a point of contact between attorneys and courts, clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
• Maintain and organize detailed electronic and physical case files.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, forms, motions, and correspondence.
• Manage attorney calendars and ensure adherence to all court deadlines.
• File documents with the court—both manually and electronically—ensuring accuracy and compliance with court-specific procedures.
• Coordinate service of process and court filings.
• Assist with discovery processes : document collection, review, and production.
• Prepare trial materials, including exhibit binders, trial notebooks, and other pre-trial documents.
• Provide general support to multiple attorneys in a high-volume practice.
