We are seeking candidates for a Litigation Paralegal to join a boutique law firm specializing in family law, trusts, wills, and estates located near Newton, MA. This position will support attorneys through all phases of family law litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

This is a contract-to-hire position that will pay $40 / hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position is required to be onsite 5 days per week in their office.

This position will support attorneys through all phases of family law litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities :

Support attorneys through all phases of family law litigation, including divorce, child custody, marital agreements, and property settlements

Serve as a key liaison with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and expert witnesses

Organize and maintain detailed electronic case files

Conduct legal research and manage attorney calendars, including tracking and meeting critical court deadlines

Draft a wide range of legal documents, including forms, pleadings, and correspondence

Coordinate court filings and service of process

Assist with discovery, including document collection, review, and production

Prepare trial materials, including exhibit binders, trial notes, and other pre-trial documentation

Understand and execute manual and electronic court filings, ensuring compliance with court-specific procedures

Provide comprehensive support to multiple attorneys within a busy family law practice

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate strongly preferred

3+ years of experience in family law or litigation, ideally with high-asset cases

Familiarity with Massachusetts court systems and local rules

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience with complex billing systems is a plus

Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and client service orientation in both verbal and written communications
