The Electrical Engineer III - Systems provides engineering in support for internal and external District customers, including system protection, system analysis, project management, substation maintenance, SCADA systems, and document record keeping in compliance with District policies and applicable government standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent; and a minimum of 8 years of experience in utility or power engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations
Must have a valid Driver's license. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required in the State of Washington.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams. Experience in engineering analysis software preferred.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb stairs, bend, reach, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, and sit for extended periods of time. Indoor settings include residential, commercial, and industrial sites that can involve cramped spaces, moving machinery, etc. Individuals may be exposed to hazardous conditions, including but not limited to obstacles, heights, open trenches, highway traffic, electric lines, all types of vegetation, fiberglass insulation, paint fumes, wood preservatives, solvents, oils, and cleaning compounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
