Maintenance Foreman

The Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Foreman to lead one of our maintenance crews. This position supervises and works alongside staff in maintaining over 300 acres of common areas, more than 20 miles of private roads, and various infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervise and direct a crew on road, drainage, forestry, and equipment maintenance projects.

Plan daily work, assign tasks, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs alongside the crew.

Oversee snow removal operations when scheduled.

Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and inventory.

Enforce safety policies, PPE use, and departmental procedures.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

3+ years of maintenance, construction, or related experience.

Supervisory or foreman-level experience required.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Basic mathematical skills plus ability to understand and use basic mathematics.

Must have a valid Virginia Drivers license and ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Any trade licenses, certifications, etc. preferred. May be required to obtain license or certificates by a governing body in order to fulfill the job requirements.

Obtain / maintain pesticide applicators registered technician status within 12 months of hire

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
