Geo Marketing Manager
This is a temporary 7-month contract. The Geo Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting local marketing efforts in the area(s) they are in. They will be responsible for translating the EMEA marketing strategy, executing it and working with local connectors and the internal Foot Locker team to optimize it throughout the year. This is the perfect role for an individual who can leverage their own network, manage and develop cultural partnerships across basketball, football, music, and gaming, translating existing (and new) brand connections into exciting experiences. The Marketing Manager activates at hyper local level, creating relevant connections with local communities as well as champion our brand's values on the ground, amplifies our voice and supports local initiatives. It is important that this person is innovative, reliable and influential.
Responsibilities
- Translates and localize EMEA marketing strategies (Campaign / Retail / PR / Social Media)
- Leads "Brand Distinction" initiatives across Culture of Sports & Sneaker Culture
- Manages local partnerships across consumers passion points
- Continually assess and capture local Sneaker Culture ecosystem
- Works in collaboration with EMEA market research to understand & act on consumer insights
- Supports the execution of Vendor & Brand campaigns throughout all consumer touchpoints
- Leads the programming of experiences and events in the market, in collaboration with HQ
- Facilitates content creation (campaign based, event based, SOME)
- Leads local social channels in collaboration with the EMEA HQ team
- Build community and drive local marketing activations
- Own the building and optimization of local partnerships and community engagement plans to drive awareness and usage of Foot Locker locations as community and cultural hubs
- Recommend experiences to engage with customers by using core brand attributes and knowledge of local market and customer
- Coordinate and develop (in collaboration with the HQ Marketing team) Foot Locker's regional social media account, tying field marketing and national marketing campaigns together
- Maintain a regional calendar, including but not limited to : events, activations, collaborations and promotions
- Manage local community field marketing budget and local activation agencies
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Maintain consistent communication with field operations; facilitates idea-generation, buying and implementation planning of all marketing efforts
- Support field operations team with store or district led marketing initiatives
- Facilitate local connectivity between field operations and local organizations
- Creative Development
- In collaboration with the marketing, creative and local agencies, manage the production process from concept development through to creative output, in adherence to projects timelines and budgets
- Budget Planning
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of local budget. They will support the Senior Director monthly in finance calls, providing updates on campaign costs, reporting and tracking in budget
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experienceExperience within marketing, brand management, content creation, retail and / or similar background preferredMinimum 3 years of experience in events or local connectivity marketingExperience of the markets they are supportingBeing ingrained in the market sneaker culture, basketball / football and know the voice of our core sneakerhead consumers is highly preferredExperience with social channels and trendsAbility to act as a leader, work well independently and remotely from team leader and peersFluent in English and SpanishBroad understanding of the Sports-Fashion industry and a passion for it
