job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPerform inspections for compliance with contracts, regulatory codes, and specifications Conduct site visits to collect data and evaluate progress Provide technical interpretation and guidance to various stakeholders including public officials and contractors Develop and maintain project databases and prepare technical reports Research and analyze issues to make recommendations for professional staff Associate's degree in a related Engineering discipline AND two (2) years of related increasingly responsible inspection work experience Valid Texas Driver's License Ability to pass a criminal background check for CJIS clearance Knowledge of methods and procedures used in inspecting and applicable regulatory codes Proficiency in using computer equipment for various engineering applications Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical language Familiarity with public works projects and contract specifications
