Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, height gauges, etc.). Working knowledge of blueprints and engineering drawings. Hands-on experience with First Article Inspection (FAI), non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action (CAPA) processes. Industry-specific experience (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices). We are currently seeking an experienced (1st Shift) Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in Bridgeview, IL.
Responsibilities
- Ensure FAI, in process, and final inspections meet internal and external specs.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Document nonconformities and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Help prepare for and participate in audits-including calibration (internal, customer, third party).
- Lead daily inspection activities on the production floor; coordinate a team of inspectors.
- Help maintain inspection procedures, calibration procedures, checklists, and work instructions.
- Train and mentor QC and production to uphold quality standards and best practices.
