Position Overview :
The GSA Project Manager will lead and oversee the custodial contract managed by the Vocational Training Center (VTC) for federal buildings in Fargo, ND. This role requires a skilled leader with strong organizational and communication abilities to manage contract performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational success. Serving as the main point of contact between the government and contractors, the Project Manager will also champion employment and training opportunities for individuals facing employment barriers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of 15 employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Identify and support employee training and development
- Ensure contract specifications and federal regulations are consistently met
- Procure, negotiate, and manage equipment, supplies, and inventory
- Maintain chemical safety data sheets and compliance documentation
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, and attendance through web-based systems
- Secure and bid on GSA projects available onsite
- Conduct regular inspections, communicate results, and implement corrective actions
- Monitor supplier pricing and ensure adherence to negotiated terms
- Maintain equipment safety and regulatory compliance
- Facilitate government inspection tours and compliance reporting
- Serve as liaison between GSA and VTC on operational and contractual matters

Qualifications :
Proven leadership experience managing teams, preferably in custodial, facilities, or contract management settingsStrong negotiation, procurement, and budgeting skillsKnowledge of federal contract requirements and green cleaning standardsExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining compliance with safety and contractual standardsExperience supporting individuals facing barriers to employment is a plusEEO, including disability / vets
