Radio Advertising Sales Representative
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, selling advertising solutions, and helping local businesses grow through the power of radio and digital media. The position offers a competitive base salary plus commission structure.
Job Duties :
- Prospect, identify and contact potential new advertisers through cold calls, networking and community engagement.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients by understanding their business needs and tailored advertising solutions.
- Create and present customized sales proposals that combine radio stops, sponsorships and digital packages.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Accurately track sales activities, forecasts, and client communications in the CRM system.
- Produce on-air messages that comply with all FCC regulations for non-commercial radio.
- Collaborate with programming and production teams to ensure advertising campaigns are delivered on time and to client expectations.
- Represent the station at promotional events, community functions and networking opportunities.
Qualifications :
Prior sales experience (media, advertising, or broadcasting preferred but not required), with an understanding of and enthusiasm for the non-profit space.Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.Creative thinking and ability to develop unique campaigns.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.Knowledge of local businesses and community networks is a plus.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record.Physical Demands :
