Lead Engineer, Test Facilities

Role Overview

We are seeking a Facility Engineer responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of our gas turbine test facilities. This individual acts as a liaison between the facility department and engineering teams, ensuring that the facility meets the technical requirements for testing while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in engineering and facility management, strong project management skills, communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including facility management, engineering teams, and external contractors
• Bridge the communication gap between the facility department and engineering teams
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and requirements for test cell design.
• Analyze and document facility requirements, including space, utilities, safety features, and environmental considerations
• Support the execution of component and engine test activities. This includes design and construction of systems to support testing
• Support design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines in design, performance, controls, and system analysis to develop appropriate test systems
• Collaborate with design, build and engineer teams to ensure the facility design aligns with industry standards and best practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing
• Maintain detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions
• Stay informed about advancements in gas turbine technology and facility design to incorporate relevant updates.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance once test cells are operational

Qualifications

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizen ship is required, as only U.S. Citizen s are eligible for a security clearance.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $130,000-$165,000 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
