Our client looking for a dedicated Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. In this contract position, the Associate Patient Care Coordinator will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to patients and healthcare providers. The ideal Associate Patient Care Coordinator is a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patients with scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries.
- Accurately process and document patient information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate referrals and manage benefit functions, including insurance coverage, deductibles, and copays.
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel and Outlook to maintain accurate records and streamline clerical tasks.
- Support clinical staff by handling receptionist duties, processing payments, and managing paperwork.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
- Communicate sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical staff.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as faxing, filing, and managing spreadsheets.
- Ensure compliance with clinical trial operations and other healthcare protocols as required.
- Respond promptly to offshore and on-site inquiries to ensure seamless communication.
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office software.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and benefit functions.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience in clerical and receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and documentation.
- Knowledge of clinical trial operations and healthcare protocols is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
