Compensation : $135,000 $180,000 / year (based on experience)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services (ED) to lead operations in a high-volume, Level I Trauma emergency department. With over 25 main ED beds, rapid care spaces, a busy free-standing ED averaging 100+ daily visits, and another location under development, this role provides the opportunity to oversee one of the busiest emergency care networks in the region. This is a high-impact leadership position offering competitive pay, annual incentives, and relocation assistance in Kansas City, MO.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for emergency services across main and free-standing EDs.
- Oversee ~115 FTEs with direct accountability for staffing, scheduling, and labor management.
- Ensure patient-centered, evidence-based care and compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and patient throughput.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and administrators to optimize service delivery.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of accountability, staff engagement, and service excellence.
