Financial Counselor I

A company is looking for a Financial Counselor I to manage patient account credit and collection activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage patient account credit and collection calls and letters

Perform financial assistance screening and work with patients on payment arrangements

Complete price estimates and monitor patient insurance

Required Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience

Technical school or college education in a health information program is desired

Minimum of three years' experience in healthcare collections is preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic accounting is beneficial

Prior experience with Epic and licensed collector status is advantageous
