Civil CAD Operator

Description

GAI Consultants, Inc. is looking for a Civil Cad Operator for support of civil engineering projects. This position requires working in a team-based environment with engineering and other technical subject matter experts. The successful candidate will perform CAD work of red-lined engineering markups for projects working under engineering supervision. This position is eligible for GAI's flexible Hybrid workplace place / Telework Policy.

Job Duties :

• Opening, revising, plotting, and saving of drawing CAD files.
• Create new drawings from templates or from scratch with title blocks and border drawing blocks.
• Create and modify drawing blocks, borders, and title blocks
• Provide direction for compiling, collating, assembling, and verifying completeness of drawing and project document packages.
• Use of scaling with model and paper space.
• Ability to use style and formatting in CAD software.
• Knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD package.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, including the creation of Surfaces, Grading, Volumes, and Profiles.
• Knowledge of Transoft Auto TURN extension for AutoCAD

BIM experience preferred.
