Senior Procurement Analyst

Overview

JST is currently seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst (POD) (HCA function) to join our team. This is a full-time Onsite position with potential hybrid / remote work at Defense Health Agency (DHA) offices in San Diego, California. The Senior Procurement Analyst (POD) (HCA function) shall be professional in demeanor, appearance, and deportment. Employees shall be responsive. The Administrative Assistant may be required to interface with senior Government and industry officials. Personnel shall have excellent written and oral communications skills sufficient to provide clear concise communication and documentation. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project as well as with Adobe Acrobat.

Senior Procurement Analyst Responsibilities

• Exceptional knowledge or understanding of direct federal procurement in GS-1102 (or similar) capacity of which with extensive knowledge or understanding or Department of Defense (DoD) procurement policy.
• Responsible for all phases of acquisition management.
• Utilize price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals against previous history, actual and estimated expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position
• Use the methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, and the ability to develop concrete action plans to solve problems
• Work on Federal and DoD contracting principles (Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)), DoD Directives and Instructions, laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to provide expert technical advice, staff coordination and consultation to assist in formulating guidelines, implementing new developments, and providing expert interpretation.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
