Job Overview : A material handler is an individual responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials within a warehouse. Their primary role involves loading and unloading shipments, sorting, and organizing inventory, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. They use various equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely and quickly. They play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, and supporting the overall logistics and supply chain operations of a business.

Key Responsibilities :

• Pick, pack, and prepare products and materials for shipment according to shipping orders
• Ensure complete accuracy of raw material inventory.
• Participate in the cycle counting program.
• Proper use of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks, to move inventory.
• Record amounts of product received and distributed.
• Accountable for overall cleanliness / organization of the warehouse.
• Enter records into the computer system.
• Perform other tasks as assigned and required.

Physical Demands :

Perform physical actions which may include frequent bending, twisting, reaching, walking, consistent standing, and the ability to lift / carry and push / pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
