Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our financial operations in San Diego, California. This role involves managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting with both accounts payable and receivable processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.

Responsibilities :

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and timeliness.

Record financial data and maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks.

Verify, review, and process invoices to ensure proper documentation and approval.

Perform regular data entry tasks to support the accounting department.

Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.

Generate financial reports and summaries as requested by management.

Communicate effectively with vendors and clients to address payment-related inquiries.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Collaborate with team members to improve accounting procedures and workflows.

Requirements :

At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.

Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software.

Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation tasks.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication abilities for interacting with vendors and team members.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial records.
