Special Projects Manager - Yearout Mechanical

Yearout Mechanical, a Legence Company, is a New Mexico-based mechanical and process systems contractor serving commercial, government, manufacturing, and industrial markets in New Mexico and Texas.

Summary / Objective

Responsible for the design, estimate, and project management of HVAC, plumbing and process systems. Create and maintain business by preparing and presenting estimates and proposals to new and existing customers while maintaining a healthy pipeline of potential jobs for future business development. Direct and coordinate all activities concerned with construction projects, including organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Ensure timely and profitable project completion. Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and scope.

Essential Functions

• Minimum 5 years project management or related experience in HVAC, plumbing and process systems.
• Promote a safe and injury-free work environment for each project.
• Extensive knowledge of Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Mechanical Code as used in NM.
• Read, interpret, and understand construction plans, drawings, and specifications at an expert level.
• Expert knowledge of and interconnection between mechanical piping and HVAC systems.
• Generate and follow up on internal and new project sales leads.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships with owners, developers, architects, and contractors.
• Experience with design and estimating of HVAC, plumbing and process systems.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress and / or cost tracking reports to VPFO for review.
• Manage material, labor, and project budget throughout project lifetime.
• Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
