Pay Range :  $90,000 - $110,000

Pay Determination :  Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description :

The at Syracuse University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the broad fields of Ecology and Evolution. The candidate is expected to complement and build on existing research strengths in the Department of Biology which span a diversity of scales and systems. The department includes faculty conducting research in evolutionary genomics, microbial ecology and evolution, reproductive evolution, organismal functional morphology, organismal ecology, community ecology, and ecosystem science. Research focus can range from gene to ecosystem scales and include, but not limited to, functional genomic, behavioral, physiological, and computational approaches, as well as acoustic and satellite remote sensing and field experiments. Research areas of particular interest include those that fall within the broadly defined area of global change biology as it influences organismal biology or ecosystems. The successful candidate is expected to develop a rigorous externally funded research program, participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching, and mentoring in the areas of their expertise.
